Darcy Steel is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who has been providing patient care at the American Hip Institute for six years. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, Darcy is trained to care for patients of all ages - from infants to older adults - with the ability to assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of conditions. She works closely with the physicians at the American Hip Institute to deliver a collaborative, team-based approach to care.
Darcy began her nursing career 19 years ago, focusing on labor and delivery, including operating room experience. A dedicated working mother of two, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain College and later her Master of Science in Nursing from Olivet Nazarene University. She is double board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center in both Family Practice and Inpatient Obstetrics. Before joining the American Hip Institute, Darcy practiced in women's health and medical weight loss, where she developed a strong foundation in comprehensive patient care.
Darcy's connection to the American Hip Institute is also personal — she is a former patient of Dr. Domb. After years of hip pain and multiple unsuccessful consultations, she finally found relief through Dr. Domb's diagnosis and treatment, allowing her to return to an active, pain-free lifestyle. Her own journey as a patient deepens her empathy and enhances her ability to connect with and care for those facing similar challenges.
